This is the best route this far. I had my reservations at first, mostly because he choked us - and I'm a freak so I was into it - but I was a little afraid of how they were going to develop their relationship after that. There's a fine line with mean, villainous love interest. You have to make them in a way that doesn't depict the MC as some sort of doormat that accept any kind of treatment thrown their way in the name of love. I've been burned before, so I always brace for the annoyance of doing a route where I want to scream at screen for us to get the hell out. I doubted Cardia.

Of course, she would pull through. It's Cardia. She's got nerves of steel and a stubborn streak that makes everyone melt for her. I just love her so much for sticking to her gun and being a competent MC that does thing and doesn't just let them happen to her. I mean her getting herself out of the mansion at the start of the route ? Go on ! Save yourself ! Protect your man ! Shatter fate's design for you !

Saint-Germain deserves his flowers too. Ugh the angst. The want to be with the woman he must kill. His little almost confession when he has to kill her ? His full confession when they are on that bridge and tells her to stop calling herself a lifeless doll because he could never see her like that, even it were easier for his mission. That he would throw his immortal life away for her ? THE FACT THAT HE PUT HER HAND TO HIS CHEEK AND TOLD HER ONLY I HAVE THE CHANCE TO TOUCH YOU IN THIS WAY ? That was soo good, what were the writers thinking making me fall for him ? The moment when Cardia tells him her life is the price for his salvation ? Crying, begging, grovelling to Omnibus ? A man cries and an Angel gains their wings. He was made for me ! ( ◡̀_◡́)ᕤ

Also, the side characters in this one... Guinevere. She has my entire heart. I've had a weakness for pretty women in big ass armor since I saw Samus for the first time. And I don't know, I think that narratively she's great as an opponent for Saint-Germain. Someone that went of the reverse path of his. Started at the point he ended. And Omnibus... The fact that two "monsters" falling in love and shattering her predictions gives Eve hope that humanity might be saved as they were. I loved the little POV switches !!

Looks like Van Helsing will be awarded the title of Virgin Supreme. I mean everyone gets to kiss Cardia, except for him. Maybe he had it coming, that's what you get being a mean little baby in your route.<(ꐦㅍ _ㅍ)>

I have no clue. But here's what I'm locking in for the last route of this game. Finis and Cardia are meant to be one. Two dolls housing the work of their father and change into the so called philosopher's stone everyone has been raving about. Isaac is either dead or is secretly using our brother and I to make himself immortal. or bring himself back to life ? Gonna meet him and he's going to be almost reverant in his pursuit of greater knowledge, to the point where he will justify Cardia's hurt as necessary. The whole Lupin's route will be about escaping this role we were forced into. That's what I'm going to lock in. No take-backsies.
