On Suyoung is working as an officer of the Royal Pharmacy, and when he finds out about the emperor's plan to behead the king for the treason charges, he feels sympathetic and gives anesthetic potion to the king to lessen the pain. And during the execution, the king thanks Suyoung and curses the emperor as he dies.
The next day, Suyoung wakes up in a strange place and realizes that he is living in the emperor's body! Shivering with fear, Suyoung hurries to the Royal Pharmacy and finds the emperor in his body. And from that point and on, a spectacular drama takes over the palace.

I loooove historical settings and I'm a sucker for anything with a supernatural/fantasy twist to it. So, this one was right up my alley. I think it's inspired by a novel but I haven't read it so I can't really compare the two, but I might at some point ! I was pleasantly surprised by this one. While I have no trouble liking a tyranical emperor ML, they tend to become annoying when paired with meek MCs who don't fight back against them. Suyong is meek, that's a given when you see the life he has lived until entering the royal pharmacy, but it doesn't sour the relationship forming between him and the Emperor. Simply because while being tyranical, our little Emperor can't help but soften for him.
To the displeasure of everyone else present. Everything would be so much easier if only they could kill Suyoung.
I love the way they both act so different in each other's body, also I like the changing eye color though I suppose all other character's don't see their emperor suddenly waking up with baby blues in the place of his deep red.
I've got a soft spot for the two of them when they are in different bodies... Ugh me and my taller uke preference... There's not enough of them, please let me have more of them !
