ROUTE ORDER : First Route

Childhood friend ? Yeah with those haircuts I believe it, who cut your hair ??? Why is everything so uneven ??

Okay so this route was nice ? I don’t have a lot to say about it, not even the possessive yandere adjacent personality of Tomose made anything exciting for me. It’s a fine first route though. I don’t know I didn’t click with him but I think the reason was mostly that he’s a bit at the fringe of two tropes that I really like but doesn’t really do anything with it. Yeah, I love yanderes but he’s not really one and at the end of his route he grows to be a-okay. So I didn’t care much for it. He’s childhood bestfriend yearner but he’s so in your face with it that I don’t feel any of the secret yearning for her or the obvious we love each other and have so much chemistry we don’t even know how we’re not together right now. So he didn’t hit it for me there either.

NOT to say that he is a bad route. He’s just a little meh for me. I still liked the fact that she goes at him when he continues to try and get her to return his feelings. Sena was nice there, though the whole losing her emotions felt a little dumb. I’m not sure why she had to do that to make him see he was losing himself… Maybe she needed to be in danger for him to feel like some sort of hero again ? If the whole thing was just that she needed to prove her resolve, I’m pretty sure she could have done so out of the stream too. Or maybe that’s wishful thinking on my part.

I will give him something though. The way others treat his obsession with Sena and joke about getting stabbed or maimed by him make me laugh. Yay for being the butt of the joke ! And a little bit of a red flag.

So, I think the other world stream is a way for Arcadians to learn emotions. I mean they make a point to say that they don’t feel human and by the end of this route they all are like wow they feel human now. I also think they are somehow connected to that Morpheus Project we learned about. So the Producer (who is an Arcadian) wants to use them to make the others of his kind human. The Sponsor (who I’m putting on as Gyobu right now) wants to help with that (Might be green looking guy but I’m putting him down as Traitor supreme. Maybe not the Producer but he can’t be anything good. You can’t fool me with your mostly beige sweater those pants are green bitch). Ebana might be an ex crew member that lost his arm right ? That would explain why we found his arm in the antique shop with Tomose. Iori’s suspicious but I bet they’re with the intelligence bureau (that will be the true bad guys of the game). Haiji might be an arcadian right ? I mean… He’s a little bit emotionless like them ? There’s something with Dazai but I don’t know what it might be. Futami’s good in my book.

NEXT ROUTE : Akase. He feels ultra safe in terms of spoilers, so I’m knocking him down.
